Beaches in the area are stunning. The award winning Whitesands is popular with families and surfers alike, whilst Abereiddi, Traeth Llfyn and Caerfai Bay should not be missed.

Walking along 186 miles of beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast National Trail attracts many visitors to the region. In addition there are a wealth of pathways crossing the St David's Peninsula.

Cycling is very popular on the quiet rural roads and Route 4 of the National Cycle Network (The Celtic Trail) runs across South Wales finishing in nearby Fishguard.

Horseriding is an excellent way to view the area. St Davids Trekking organises guided treks on traditional gypsy horses.

Birdwatching draws many to the area. Visit Pembrokeshire Birds for information on recent sightings and Pembrokeshire Bird Group for the local section of the Wildlife Trust of South and West. Pembrokeshire Falconry offers you the chance to come face to face with birds of prey at a variety of venues in the area.

Boat trips
run regularly to the Islands of Ramsey and Skomer bringing you closer to the coast’s array of bird and wildlife.

Kayaking, coasteering and surfing sessions are organised locally by TYF - 01437 721611  Sea Kayaking Guides or the award winning Celtic Quest Coasteering.

Art and Crafts - Visit the nearby Solva Woollen Mill, the oldest working mill in Pembrokeshire to see the C19 looms in action. Oriel y Felin in the centre of St David's displays a wide selection of work by local artists, while Oriel Glan y Mor in Fishguard showcases the art of Beth Robinson renowned for her landscapes of Pembrokeshire.

St David’s Cathedral and the Bishop’s Palace are breathtaking and a “must see” for all visitors. With regular services, concerts, plays, exhibitions, a music festival and an excellent cafe, the cathedral is central to life in St David’s. Visit www.stdavidscathedral.org.uk
